My name is Minerva McGonagall and I teach Transfiguration at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and am head of Gryffindor house. Because I learned to become an amimagi at the age of thirteen, I can turn into a tabby cat at will (I am usually distinguishable by my spectacle like stripes by the eyes). I have enjoyed the pleasure of tecahing for about 40 years, earning the title of Headmistress to the greatest Headmaster Hogwarts has ever seen, Albus Dumbledore.

Socially, I am president of the 'Worthy Witches' club in Hogsmeade town hall and I am a greatful grandmother of four blossoming young boys, Harvey, London, Arnold, and Myron. I love to volunteer my time to worthy charities such as the 'Homeless Worlocks' and 'Abused Sorceresses' funds.

My husband, Lord Byron, a famous poet that achieved imortality left me when I turned 28, saying that he needed someone younger. I have live happily knowing that I destroyed his supply of the Elixir of Life and that his body is currently buried under my house in Hogsmeade.

I am also a member of the Order of the Phoenix where I and other worthy beings plot to aid in the fight against You-Know-Who. If you don't know what any of this means becayse you are what I deem a Muggle, please just know that none of this is true and that I have lived in a loony bin most of my life.
